FSVC Symposia 2018

On July 11-13, the latest international symposium organized by FSVC, with generous support from Carnegie Corporation of New York, brought together 28 leading experts from the United States, Russia, China and other key countries to discuss topics related to the state of the international financial system. Topics included the increased use of financial and economic sanctions, the “de-risking” trend, the lack of lending to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and the risks and opportunities posed by new financial technologies (FinTech). Shirley Lin discusses financialization in high income countries and its political implications for the rest of the world.
