Distinguished Speaker Series Talk by Professor Syaru Shirley Lin on Cross-Strait Dilemmas and the Tough Choices facing Donald Trump, Xi Jinping, and Tsai Ing-wen

In her new book, Taiwan's China Dilemma, author Syaru Shirley Lin explains the divergence between the development of economic and political relations across the Taiwan Strait and its implications on Taiwan’s cross-Strait economic policy. Professor Lin will also outline the challenges facing China, the U.S., and Taiwan in navigating their complex triangular relationship in light of the new U.S. administration and the emergence of a distinctive Taiwanese identity over the past two decades. Q&A will follow.
