China as a Presidential Challenge

The Presidential Ideas Festival: Democracy in Dialogue will convene elected leaders, scholars, policymakers, business and media leaders, and students to drive a thoughtful discussion on the state of democracy in the United States and abroad. Through the lens of the American presidency, the Presidential Ideas Festival will examine some of the most pressing challenges facing democracy around the world and glean lessons from and for the American context. Each day will be anchored by a series of morning and afternoon keynote conversations on our main stage in Old Cabell Hall on the Lawn at the University of Virginia. Over lunch, we will offer a series of working lunch sessions, designed to dig more deeply into a problem or questions raised in the keynotes.
